Jürgen Becker

Jürgen Becker is a German poet, novelist and author of radio plays. A former member of the famous Gruppe 47, Becker has also been involved with Germany’s PEN Centre and the German Academy for Language and Poetry for close to half a century. He is the recipient of numerous literary awards, including Germany’s most prestigious, the Georg Büchner Prize.
