Sharon Aronson-Lehavi

Sharon Aronson-Lehavi is chair of the Department of Theatre Arts and academic director of the University Theatre at Tel Aviv University. Her research focuses on the relations between ritual, religion and theatre in the late medieval and modern periods. She is the author of Street Scenes: Late Medieval Acting and Performance (2011), Gender and Feminism in Modern Theatre (2013), and Biblical Theatre in Israel: Identity and Otherness (2016). She is the co-editor of Performance Studies in Motion: International Perspectives and Practices in the Twenty-First Century (2014) and, together with Sefy Hendler, of the catalogue of Table Manners, an interdisciplinary project at the Tel Aviv University Art Gallery (2019).
