Ulrike Almut Sandig

Ulrike Almut Sandig, born in former East Germany in 1979, has written five volumes of poetry along with short stories and a novel Monsters Like Us (Seagull 2022). She often works with filmmakers, sound artists and musicians including especially her poetry-band Landschaft. She has won many prizes, including most recently the Erich Loest Prize, the Horst Bingel Prize and the Roswitha Prize. In 2021 she was appointed to the prestigious Thomas Kling Poetry Lectureship.
