Sylvain Lazarus

Sylvain Lazarus is a French sociologist, anthropologist and political theorist, and a professor at the Paris 8 University. Following the student uprising of May 1968 in France, he was a founding member of the French Communist Union (Marxist–Leninist). Fifteen years later, along with Alain Badiou and Natacha Michel, he founded the militant French political organization L'Organisation Politique. The Anthropology of the Name, published in French in 1996, is his most notable work.
