David Peimer

David Peimer is professor of theatre and performance studies at Edge Hill University, Lancashire, UK. He has worked for the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg), New York University (Global Division), and was a Fulbright Scholar at Columbia University. He has won numerous prestigious awards for playwriting and directing. He has written 9 plays and directed 40 in South Africa, New York, the EU Parliament in Brussels, the Pinter Centre (Goldsmiths), Berlin, Zululand, Athens, Toronto, Budapest, Hamburg, Global Shakespeare Congress, and was invited to be the first English speaking director in Vaclav Havel’s Prague theatre.
