Wendy Guerra

Critically acclaimed Cuban poet and novelist Wendy Guerra received the Carbet des Lycéens prize and was honoured by the French government. Her books include the novels Todos se van, awarded the first Bruguera Novel Prize in 2006; Nunca fui primera dama, and Posar desnuda en la Habana. Her poetry books include Platea a oscuras, Cabeza rapada, and Ropa interior. Her novel I Was Never the First Lady was published in English translation in 2021 to great acclaim.
