Sahar Khalifeh

Sahar Khalifeh is one of the most prominent Palestinian writers of our time. She is author of 11 novels, all of which deal with the situation of Palestinians under occupation, including Wild Thorns (1976), The Inheritance (1996) and Of Noble Origins (2009). She has won several prizes including the Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature in Egypt, the Simone de Beauvoir Prize and the Alberto Moravia Award for International Literature.
