Franco Fortini

Franco Fortini (1917–94) was a poet, essayist, literary critic, Marxist intellectual and translator. His incisive polemical interventions shaped Italian letters in the postwar period. Fortini's The Dogs of Sinai (2013) and A Test of Powers (2016) are available from Seagull Books.
