Jana Bodnárová

Jana Bodnárová was born in 1950 in Jakubovany in what was then Czechoslovakia. She studied the history of art at the University of Jan Amos Komensky in Bratislava. After graduating, she worked for more than ten years in monument preservation in Prešov and wrote extensively on contemporary art. Since the beginning of the 1990s she has devoted herself to writing. In addition to publishing books of prose, poetry, works for children, radio plays and screenplays for television, she has also created and presented video performances both in domestic galleries and on experimental theatre stages abroad.
