Marguerite Duras

Marguerite Duras (1914­–96) was a French novelist, screenwriter, scenarist, playwright and film director, internationally renowned for her screenplays of Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959) and India Song (1975). Her novel The Lover won the prestigious Prix Goncourt in 1984.
