Anjum Katyal

Anjum Katyal is a writer, editor and translator. She has been Chief Editor, Seagull Books, Editor, Seagull Theatre Quarterly and Editor of the online Art and the City. She is the author of several books on theatre and performance including Habib Tanvir: Towards an Inclusive Theatre and Badal Sircar: Towards a Theatre of Conscience. Her work on the theatre of Safdar Hashmi is due out in 2024. She has translated several works by Habib Tanvir, Mahasweta Devi and Meera Mukherjee. She is currently Director, Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival (AKLF) and Curator, Nabanna Earth Weekend (NEW) Santiniketan, a festival of arts and ideas, as well as Editor, ArthArt, an arts journal by Arthshila Trust.
